About your guide: I have been fishing for 46 years in various forms on the waters around Kuopio, and guiding people in the secrets of fishing has been a passion of mine year-round. Through retraining, this passion turned into a new profession. Jig fishing has become my top specialty, though I still cherish traditional methods like bottom fishing for large perch. In winter, trap fishing is also part of my offerings. Over the years, fish handling has become a refined skill that I teach in courses as well. Guiding children and young people is an important part of my work, and introducing fishing to those who have never tried it is one of the most rewarding challenges for a guide. I prioritize safety in all my activities and stay up to date with the latest knowledge through ongoing training.
