Finnish Ministry of Forestry and Agriculture has launched a 10 year development program to promote fishing tourism in Finland. The vision is that Finland will have the most versatile and highest-quality fishing services in Europe in 2034.
The development program includes proposals for measures to develop services and business, sales and marketing, and the operating environment. Finland’s water bodies and fish stocks have good potential for the development of fishing tourism. Currently, Finland has over 511 fishing tourism companies employing around 1000 people.
